My Shurvend says "card approved" but then will not allow customer to complete a transaction.

The blue and green lights are lit. The display says approved for $2. When a selection is made the yellow led on 'end' button lights but no product is given and no $ is transferred electronically.

Why?

Waxman,

We have an e-Port on a vendor here in the warehouse that we can try to duplicate the trouble you are having. We need more information about how the vendor is acting before we can pin point the trouble. Does the vendor vend when bills or coins are used? Does the pass card work?

We will call you later this AM.

Jim @ ShurVend :)

Waxman,

Enjoyed talking with you yesterday to learn the CC is working. The Pass Card mag stripe may have gotten corrupted somehow since it won't work. Call USA Tech about the Card and see what they can do for you.

Now my Eport alternately prompts:'swipe valid card' (normal) and 'initializing please wait' (f'd up).

I thought it may be the antenna so I did what you said (finally i know) and drilled a hole in the cabinet and put the wire thru and magnetized it to the inner top of security cage. powered down then back up and it is now alternating between those 2 prompts.

any ideas?

I did email Eport as well.

Thanks!:D

Waxman,

Did you receive any communication from USA Tech about your problem with the e-Port? You may have week signal in your area for the e-Port and may need a high gain antenna. Let me know.

USA tech made a mistake by going with one carrier, we also have bad reception a couple of days a month with AT&T. If they could go to a different carrier, i could use it without an antenna. My cousin from florida has that carrier and works perfect in fla., and the phone was all but dead in our town.

We called USA Tech's customer service department to get some info on Waxman's e-Port problems and get them fixed. We finally found out that the daily email reports that were to be sent from USA Tech to Waxman had not gotten into the system, but they are now!! I just find it amazing that so many of the "corporate types" can be so blase' and unconcerned with their screwups when dealing with customers! Then they wonder why they are having so much trouble in the marketplace.

An email from Waxman assures us that the e-Port is working properly now.

It's a evolving problem, when the government tells everyone, "Don't worry be happy" "We will take care of you" Why botter to work or do a decent job, get fired get a job with the government that is paying 20% more than private enterprise, and you don't need to do anything and you can't get fired.

Expect it do continue to get worse.

Waxman,

I sent you an email earlier today giving you some tests (sent to me by my sales rep for the e-Port) to run on your e-Port so we can find out what is going on. We think you are in an area where the At&T signal is weak and/or intermittent. AT&T is the contractor for the e-Port so we are stuck. However a high gain antenna may work in your situation.

Get back to me with the results of your signal testing and we'll see where we go from here.

After I posted this I tried a power down of the unit. I re-powered and it is now fine and working properly. If it goes down again I will run the signal test.

I can move the antenna even more but I should probably go for the high-gain antenna anyway since at & t is weak in my area.

After you run the signal strength test and report the results, we will know more about the need for a high gain antenna. I have never had to use a high gain one before, but there is always a first! I think Whale of a Wash may need one too on certain wash sites.
