I was thinking about connecting 2 old canister vacs to one 1.5" line. Has anyone done this? What about doing 4 canisters but having multiple lines that have hangers with rubber stoppers that block the suction when not in use. Kind of a central vac system?

Has anyone tried this?

I don't think you'll get any more air flow with one 1-1/2" hose. I'd add a third motor and switch to 2" hose. It might even be worth a try to run two 1-1/2" hoses off one 3-motor vacuum.

I added a 3rd motor to my JC vacs and customers love it. Also drilled holes in my claws for more air flow again customers really love my vacs

Be aware of your wiring though and amp draw
