older mark v11 plc

I was wondering if maybe you can help me. I have a scr dated 1992.
Here is my current problem, I got to wash on sat and machine was up again't front door. It must have kept going past the limit switch on the track.
I check the sensor for the limit and it does send a signal to the plc. FURNAS(96km60aa-ul)
I checked the 2 electric eyes and they sending the singnals to the plc.
I checked the travel switch and it is sending a signal to the plc.
I check the tilt switch and that is workinking.
They don't seem to make this model plc anymore.
Before maching went out, this was the best week we had with it.
Car count is only 33000.
Any suggestons would be very helpful
I check on line and it seems if it the plc has a problem it can be repaired, how long i would be out is the question.

Go to www.plccenter.com. They have a surplus unit in stock that should work for $377. I would be sure that is the issue before replacing, though.

I had a rotoclean that the plc started to act up it ended up being the relays inside were going bad. Mouser electronics had relays for the plc. It was kinda hard to figure out which relay it was but if you pull the plc apart there are numbers that you can trace. I had to replace 2 or 3 relays. If I remember right they were about 70 cents each. Try tapping on the plc as it is reaching the end of the track if it stops when it gets the signal I would think it is a relay problem.

testing

I will test today by the tapping method and then open plc unit. Its not working now so i have nothing to loose.

We opened the plc and couldn't see any burn or corrosion, smacked the 24 relays and put it back to gether and could you beleve it worked.
at least for now and maybe for a lot longer

Sometimes, just unplugging things/relays/plugs and replugging them will "clean" the connections, something always to try before chucking things.

was the switch in "test" mode?

I had to let it go for a while it was driving me crazy
I checked just to maake sure , it's not in test mode

changed a few parts and finally replaced the option board and we are working again
