A couple of years ago when I first took over one wash I capped off the 4 nozzles on each side of the rocker panel blasters. These are for a Ryko OHD2001. The theory was that if the pre-soak hit the car while it was dry instead of half way up it being already wet, that the pre-soak would do a better job. I have been thinking of ways to improve the wash quality and was wondering what everyone's opinion was on the rocker panel blasters on a touch free wash?

Thanks.

I would like to remove them from the Vector but they're hooked into the undercarriage and customers are used to seeing them. The tips sometimes get plugged after a freeze and they're really quick to complain that they aren't spraying so I know they'll notice if I remove them.

What I'd really like to do is replace them with a tire cleaner application.

IMO, it depends on where you wash is loctated and the type of customers you have and maybe the time of year:

Rocker panel before presoak- probably best for heavy mud, snow, dirt, etc. Presoak can't clean if it's not contacting the paint. I think it is counterproductive if heavy solids aren't present.

Rocker panel after presoak/tire cleaner- best for film and brake dust removal on street cars with no heavy solids.

Maybe do a seasonal rocker panel based on snow conditions?

Been a while since I started this thread, but one of my caps broke off and had me thinking of just putting spray nozzles back on and seeing how they clean. I can't seem to find the originals. What size nozzle would you guys recommend for a rocker panel blast on the way in? There are 4 nozzles on each side. Thanks.
