Anyone have any oscillating motors for ww 1.0 or 2.0 laying around that they want to sell? Just thought I would try here before I bellied up to the bar and paid the price if you know what I mean! Need a back up motor for my parts bin.

Gather your specs and google Automation Direct. They should be able to set you up with a reasonable replacement.

Heh, not one to sell, but just serviced on yesterday. Megged it at the end of the wires and it showed bad. Replaced with a new one and megged it at the motor and it showed good, so it must have been in the cord. I replaced the cord and cleaned the gears out and replaced the gear oil. So I now have a "used" replacement motor on my shelf.

Anyway, if you guys use a megger to check your motors check it at the motor (not at the end of the cord)before you trash it.

I have been successful in repair a couple of these when the gear boxes went bad. But I took two to the local motor shop and he told me it would cost almost as much to repair motors as it would for new one. I keep them laying around for the gear box parts. I just ordered a new one to put on the shelf last week.
