Wasn't sure if this was the section to post this, but since a lot of people in the industry uses them, why not. I used to use them when I sold things car wash related on ebay. Well they now have a new method of giving you your money when you sell and use them. First of all they hold the funds for 21 days. Yes, 21 days with no interest for you. Then they will release the first $500 to you, with another chunk in 30 days. All the while with no interest. When I complained I got some BS excuse, but they said it could all be released in the 21 day period if I just gave them my bank account password. I had my office manager call and check to see if I somehow misdialed and got "Peggy" from complaint department. I will never use them again. We didn't find out about the new policy until after the sale.

Ebay-PayPal recently made it so my UPS rates were much improved over being a non Ebay person --- just in case that is a factor.

Do you have a bank account verified with PayPal? You can do it without giving them your account password.

I have been using PayPal since it came out and I have never had that problem. If the customer pays with something like an e-check, it will hold for 2-3 days to make sure it clears the bank. Other than that, I have had access to the funds right away when I receive them. Are you a new PayPal member? If people had to wait 21 days for their funds I don’t think PayPal would be around anymore.

I've had an account with them for about two years, with an associated bank account. This just came out of the blue. Not only did they want my bank password, but username. They su*k.

I can't find anything in their information that would indicate they have a policy of holding money for 21 days.

What was the "BS excuse" they gave you? It seems more like an unusual circumstance rather than a new policy.

I have no idea why after two years they decided to hold my money. I've sold more expensive items and got the money in the normal time. But this suc*s. They just decided to do this. I have a 100% satisfaction with ebay. I'll just never use them again. I know, this won't put them out of business, but at least I'll feel better.
