When you say you changed out the validator did you also change out the “Cycle inhibit relay” box that connects the Mars validator to the Hamilton harness? I’ve seen those Cycle inhibit boxes go bad and do strange things. I use the Cycle inhibit relay kit from Hamilton now, there better constructed and you can change the relay if they ever go bad and it’s almost impossible to plug it in backwards and short out the validator.

Randy,

Yes I replaced both the validator and the cycle inhibit relay as they were "glued" together from Valley Pride. "Glued" with silicone type glue where the relay plugs in to the validator.

I did not realize that there was a history of those relays acting up. Regardless the acw now has a new validator and relay and I've not experienced jackpotting since.

If I call Hamilton parts what do I ask for to get their version of the inhibit relay? "cycle inhibit relay" or are there different types?

Randy.......I thank you again!!!

By changing out the validator and the cycle inhibit relay box you’ve changed out 2 components so you don’t really know which one is the bad component. My guess would have to be the cycle inhibit relay harness.
