I have Ginsan's Credit Card liberator system. My PCCharge software requires me to change my login in every 90 days. I changed it and now my cc won't authorize. I have a option in the Ginsan POS to update the cashier and password. I updated it to match the PCCharge name and password. When a customer swipes a card it will recognize the card but it says authorization failed. PCCharge tech support says I have to change it in Ginsan's software but it still won't work. Anyone have any ideas. I would love to get this fixed this weekend as customers keep swiping and getting this error. Thanks.

I don't really know anything about this system, but I will take a stab. Sounds like the problem happened when you "updated the cashier and password." Can you change this password back to what it was originally? This is likely the password required to authenticate the credit transaction on the Ginsan side. The PC Charge software is what is used to interface with the credit card companies... PC charge used to have a way to manually charge a transaction within the software itself. Try that with your own card and see if you are OK on that end. If so, the problem is definitely in the Ginsan authentication part.

Okay I will quess also. :)

Have you tried turning off everything then unplugging stuff (bays and control unit/computer)? Then checking the passwords? Maybe the passwords are not updating right? When everything restarts you might still have the old password?

It did come with support. The problem is on my pos side not the pccharge side. I did power down everything and restart but still no success. Hopefully Ginsan is open today. Thanks for the replies.
