With the increase on cost of everyday items, we are seeing about a 30% decrease in sales across all locations. People are still washing but we are not seeing the numbers we had 3+ months ago. Had a meeting with our banker and he told us they are seeing less transaction on debit and credit card usage on their end as well. He told us that he is anticipating that things are going to be worse by years end. But hey the president and media puppets say all is good.

Business is up for us in Dallas Texas area. I see my credit card usage up but some could be because we lowered time. I am worried if economy does retract we could see a drop. Our business is dependent fob the working class and if construction drops our business will decline.

We lowered time to reflect the 20 percent increase in cost to operate and give myself a 20% raise. We lowered time per quarter 20%.

No. The person in the Oval office is a red herring regardless if a GOP or a Dem. Too many people just want to find someone else to blame for a challenging situation as it is easier than working to fix the issue or challenge. I cannot stand Trump (who is a know nothing jerk) or Biden (who is nice but ineffective and lacks leadership) or any of the people in congress as they just do nothing but fight, call the other side names, blame the other side for anything bad (real or imagined), make up BS ideas about one another, and just give fuel to the crazy people in our country. Is it a 50/50 split for the previously mentioned BS, no not even close, but it really does not matter if nothing productive comes out of DC or our local governments - a pox on both houses. Gas, well you can thank ("our friends") the OPEC countries for those prices as we refuel their bank accounts so they can continue to sponge off the world's back. Biden does have a cool classic car (see Jay Leno's Garage this week).

Trump who has a net worth of 3 BILLION (not 3 car washes) is a "know nothing" according to you.

Then theres Biden who you consider "nice". Did you know he molested his own daughter? Simple google search "Ashley Bidens Diary".

Did not take long for me to regret answering the original question if the Oval Office person impacts our business as it only gives the Right Wing(nuts) to a place to post their make believe ideas.

Sorry the facts don't fit your narrative...

“We live in a world where smart people are silenced so that stupid people won't be offended”. Its time to change that.

Wrong, gas prices were getting jacked up long before our friends at OPEC and Ukraine invasion. I’m not defending OPEC but as soon as the nice, dementia ridden Commander in Chief took office prices were on the rise.

So Blanco is a right wing nut because he disagrees w your assessment? And you’re right because… you say so? Got it 👌🏼

I’m not fond of trump, he should’ve stayed quiet. But I didn’t vote for him for a popularity contest. Lifetime politicians are the problem w this country imo. But I’d rather read a few mean tweets than enjoy what’s been brought on us.

Too many factors at work to clearly establish cause and effect. Most importantly Covid shutdowns and War in Ukraine and lack thereof that affected gas prices and amount of driving plus the price of gas as a result thereof. Biden's tightening of restrictions on oi exploration, production and transport will certainly be a factor in prices and may already be a factor but tough to tell due to the other factors.

I agree there are other factors but they came well after prices were on the rise. We were 2.40 per gallon in SE North Carolina January 21’ and more policy and rhetoric started the incline.

I’ve never read that article. Never knew anything about it.

price of gas was under $2 for a good amount of time in 2020 and the beginning of 2021 in many states. No gas producing company went out of business from lower prices. Yes demand or driving decreased due to the pandemic. if farmers changed their prices for milk as quickly and as often as the price of gas changes people here would be really upset at them. We just give OPEC and our gas companies here a free pass.

OPEC is a price manipulating organization. If any other industry in the USA tried to manipulate prices on their scale the DOJ would investigate them.

Drilling is one issue without a clear answer but a more concrete long term solution is incentives for solar and geo thermal. The two best ideas we installed at our house with a loud thank you to the government who made it competitive to a new traditional AC/heat system. Only wish there were incentives to install both at car washes and other businesses.

March 30, 2020 with a little help from Giant loyalty card. Original price was $1.59 before giant points lowered the price.

I prefer a business person over a career politician…

Our society must have law and order or we will be forced to impose our own, and society as we know it will crater further…

I believe that we must have secure borders…

I believe we must be energy independent…

I believe that the pendulum always swings to far in either direction, and we must first stop the hemorrhaging, and get back to a more central political agenda, for society’s sake!

9 days till the mid term elections… it’s gonna be interesting… Grab your popcorn, and hold on tight!

SJB ... well said. Just so there are "best possible for 'we the people'" universal safeguards for future election processes over the world & especially here in the USA! To see "foxes in the henhouse" blocking & sabotaging looking at election hard drive logs that have been proven to reveal blatant illegal algorithm injections & even illegal "air gap violations". What they are currently trying to perpetrate on the duly elected "Tina Peters" in Colorado urgently needs to be corrected regardless of some selfish temporary fleeting successes some of us may be having in our car wash industry.

Hello Ron. From reading your text you seem like an intelligent person, however you have been ill informed. Solar and wind will never provide the majority of our power. The problem is with storage. Battery technology just ain’t there yet. Something that puzzles me is our shopfront natural gas. I’ve read we have a 500 year supply of it. So why mess with solar? We are on the verge of finally getting nuclear practical. Solar and wind are just the latest examples of making the tree huggers happy.

I see one person on here that voted on the poll that is not American.:sneaky:
It’s like voting in FL where you don’t even have to be a citizen.
