Polycarbonate airlift doors vs vinyl doors

Currently have polycarbonate entrance door on in bay automatic. Considering installing vinyl roll up due to frequency of use year round in Minnesota. I feel it would be more trouble free and not as easily damaged by knuckle heads. Appreciate opinions. Anyone with experience with both? Thanks
