I have an opportunity to buy two Pro Car Wash Navigator complete systems for what seems like a reasonable price. I have not heard too much about these but honestly, after a quick forum search, I didn't find much good info. Anyone running one or more of these? What are your thoughts? Thanks.

I have one and I also probably know about thoses machine your referring to. I'm not very impressed with the navigator especially with the single arm. The dbl arm is a lot better but still like other washes ability to measure cars. I have had a issue with mine ever since I've owned it and currently still have a issue that I can't get solved and basically feel pro hasn't gave me any support in this issue after spending sizeable monies to upgrade machine with them and was promised they had a plan to figure out problem...... then crickets and won't return calls. But they are a simplistic machine just feel there's a lot better machines out there. I have dealt with distributors of there's I feel are very good but also some that are very bad and unlike with other types of equipment there are not very many distributors out there. So if there is a issue and you not in a lucky area to
have a distributor then service has to come from a long way if they will come that far.The said equipment if it's in Texas area I also felt looked to be a good deal but after referring to some people basically it is such a old model that even to upgrade the computer has to be replaced at 3k plus but the other adds on of approx 9k to add the Dbl arm I was also informed they had steel rails???? But this was told to me by a distributor who happen to have a perfect machine for me so they said. So I can't say it's accurate or not but food for thought. And IF it's the same
Machines I'm referring to I also know they have been on market for a good minute like 2 years.

yeh,, those have been on the market for about 2 yrs, if it is up here in my neck of the woods. doesn't mean they're a bad deal, just that used IBA's do NOT sell very easily

Yeah, you guys are right about which ones they are. I figured as much about the reliability and all that. What do you think is a decent, reasonably priced, used IBA I should be looking for? I am not scared of working on one.

Washworld, High velocity, Razor or Laser 4000 is what you need to be looking for if it was me. If I lived in Texas and wanted some nice used equipment I would go to the SCWA in Arlington and meet as many people as I could and someone will have a nice used machine ready to install. I would be shaking as many hands as I could this weekend telling them you are in the market. It's got to be someone there that has one Texas is a big state. Just my thoughts

I have a guy that wants to sell me a freestanding laserwash 4000 with stainless rails and one vac on a decent sized lot in a little town about an hour away. I could buy it for appraisal district value (90k) and it does about 60k gross. I am leery about it being so far away. How often do you guys have to put your hands on these things? There is a part time guy in the area to help out that can be retained.

You had asked me what size water line I had in another post. What size would be necessary for 1 IBA and 4 ss bays? Any major issues having a ss bay between the ER and IBA?

$60k for a single IBA means it is doing a LOT of washes, & is prettybused. If proceed with MUCH caution
Buying a wash that grosses $60k, for ONLY &90k sounds too good to be true

He did show me his paystation audit slips and cc deposits. Didn't add up to a 60k year but was over 4k for the month, I think, of Nov 2017. So still around 50k. He said he did 50k the previous year but was down for a while due to upgrading the rails to stainless. I am concerned about how often it needs attention because it is so far away. I don't want to go there every day. He says he goes there twice a week unless there is a problem. I just don't know how often there are these problems. I only have experience with SS.

Let's be honest 4000 are dime a dozen and if wash count is really high heck 90k may not
Be bad price and reasonable although there just way to many variables to
Be sure based on just gross dollar amounts. And as far as my automatics the one I have here right in my town I don't go but every few days at times I think you could easily operate it with the right setup and not

As far as water line I'm going to say depending on volume your probably looking at about 2" waterline and the only problem with having a iba with self serve which I am experiencing right know is the wiring and plumbing in between will cost more but is not terrible to do.

Man sounds like a deal with the laser good cameras on all equipment up close looking at pumpstand and in the bay and having a local guy being on call to reset the machine I would go for it. The 4000 is a reliable machine as long as it was installed right and not a hack job. Run good chemicals keep it pressure washed and working do a PM once a month you should be good. Very obtainable. As for the water line at other site 2"inch is ideal
