I have a Ryko Softgloss and the small led screen that gives you the two digit codes when there is a problem is malfunctioning. I can only see part of the left digit and none of the right, making it impossible to check codes or test functions. I have had this problem before but turning it off then on again usually fixed the problem. This time it has been 3 days with no change. Is this something that I can fix, or do I need to replace a part?

The 2 digit display is controlled from the PLC outputs Y65 (clock pulse) and Y66 (data pulse) from the machine. It could be a loose wire between the PLC and the display, or it could just need to be reset by powering down the PLC and bringing it back up. If not, the display may need to be replaced. If so, it is available as part number 19614-000.

What is the best way to power down the PLC?

Thanks.

In the primary control panel of the machine, near the top of the panel, you should see a bracket with a blue label on it. There should be about 4 circuit protectors for the PLC outputs, and two additional switches. One should be marked PLC Power. Turn this off. Wait about 10 seconds, then power back up.

I reset the PLC and after a few minutes it worked again showing both digits. Thanks for your help, it is appreciated.
