Proportioners vs. Dual Chemical Injectors. I.E Flojet, Hydrominder and Tank

I have an express exterior wash which uses a combination of Dosatron Proportions as well as Flojet, Hydrominder and Tanks.

On all the foaming products, Lo Ph Shampoos, Lo Ph Conditioner\Polishes, Rain X, I switched to the Flojet, Hydrominder and Tanks. I found that for show, they seemed to work better for those products. On the presoak, clearcoat sealer and CTA, I still use the Dosatrons Proportioners.

If you were to replace every back room equipment with either of the two I have mentioned, which way would you go?

I have generaly had Hydrominders. Simple, easy to see what's happening,easy to replace wearable parts. Acquired one place with metering pumps. Seemed to be a headache for me.

Currently have about 50 Hydrominders in service at 4 locations with flo jets.

Dosatrons are at the mercy of your incoming pressure. Unless you use a booster pump and keep pressure constant, I'd go with hydrominders and tanks as well.

Perhaps someone with Dosatrons can chime in as to lifespan, serviceability etc.

I keep several Hydrominder rebuild kits on hand. They are about $15.50 each. Also keep some inlet screens on hand since I often damage them if I try to get them out. (I now remove the 3'8" nipple and push out fromtheback side which is easier than digging it out) With these two items the hydrominders last indefinitely. Rarely a plastic housing part cracks.
