Anyone know what could cause this? Its a CAT Pump with a Superior box. When you switch to wash the pressure line pulses. The pressure isn’t near what it should be too. We have replaced the unloader, and cleaned the tank filters. It builds pressure to 1K then when trigger is it it drips to 500 psi. I attached some videos. Anything helps pretty new at this!

The seals in the pump head, looks like a 310 or 530 cat pump, go to catpumps.com, service and training if you never changed them before. Also check the head for cavitation.

Make sure the supply water pressure is high enough to low and it will do the same thing.

#1 Remove and inspect valves...broken valve o-rings and backup rings or something stuck inside the valve will cause pulsation
#2 Check soap and wax supply lines...leaking fittings or hoses will allow air into the pump
If neither completely solves the problem...new seal kit.
If the pump is as old as the pump stand...look closely inside the valve ports and seal ports for erosion. Eroded ports require special machine work that no seal will resolve. Alternatively, a new pump head is in order.
