Any reason for the recommendation of 310 over the 5cp pumps? We have both at our SS, can't really tell a difference. 5cp is a little easier to rebuild and has the warranty on the head is all I can really tell. They seem to be direct replacements, I was planning on replacing with the 5cp when I have to replace any pumps - unless there is a reason to stick with the 310 pumps?I'd replace them with a Cat 310
but still have bad memories of the 623s that we used to have.
Seal replacement was always a PITA, much more so than Hypro or Arimitsu. What kind of bad memories?
I just replaced two Cat 310's at my wash. They only lasted 29 years each with minimal or no maintenance before I bought the place 2018. I would consider that a win in my books. That's my vote... Randy is spot on.....I'd replace them with a Cat 310
Seal replacement in cat 5CP plunger pump is a piece of cake. The 310s need a seal case removal tool, but the 5CPs seal cases just pop out. I think you'll be happy with them.Seal replacement was always a PITA, much more so than Hypro or Arimitsu.
