I had a guy the other day put 2.75 in a drop shelf for a 1.25 little tree. So yes they keep dropping more in expecting another result. He caused the jam w a quarter that had a “tear” on the edge
lmao. Even if that’s not a joke it’s absolutely believableWe had a guy put in $2.50 into a $1.25 Little Tree drop shelf vendor and expected to pull the handle twice.
I do NOT miss the pull handle vendors! Bought my first ShurVend in 2001 and never looked back.We had a guy put in $2.50 into a $1.25 Little Tree drop shelf vendor and expected to pull the handle twice.

TruthThe stuff we car wash operators see is unbelievable sometimes. You just can't make this stuff up.
The "lost warning" could be part of the solution for us to protect against our non customers from using our ChangeMakers instead of the more appropriate goto bank or CoinStar machine. It is surprising how "entitled" some of those rascals can become. I was even screamed at & called "rascist" out of the blue for just suggesting that it is much better if they go to their bank to exchange their small change into quarters & dollar coins.I know operator here who got tired of people in foreign coin or nickels and dimes so he wedged over the reject shoe in his coin acceptors so any coin that is dropped into the coin acceptor won't come out of the coin return. Then he put a sticker on the front of the coin box that says " US Quarters and XYZ Car wash tokens only, all other coins will be lost" that ended his problems with jammed coin box coin acceptors. The only coins and tokens that give credit are Quarters and his tokens, everything else falls into the safe.

Our dollar coin transition is taking longer than we planned ... otherwise we might have already fixed the programming within both changemakers to hopefully make it so their nickels & dimes are less likely to be used.
