I've also switched to Microcoin QL, mostly to not get any dollar
coins mixed in with my quarters and
tokens. Slugbuster II and III are lousy IMO. I discovered a new problem with them - twice last week someone tried to use a 50 euro cent
coin in a bay, the slot is wide enough to take the
coin but the reject path isn't big enough for it to return, so it jams. The same
coin in a Microcoin is returned no problem. The Slugbuster II takes a dollar
coin and gives a quarter credit so my customers get mad. The Slugbuster III will eventually steal the dollar
coin if the customer tries it enough, so now I have dollar
coins jamming the
changer. I just love the "EZ" open to clear a
coin path jam, so nice to have one pop open randomly a couple times a week and steal everyone's money. Oh, I can put screws in it to hold it shut? What an excellent toolless design that I have to hunt down screws for and use a tool to keep it closed.
