Question for Ryko SoftGloss owners.

Do you guys have air bleeding out the bottom of the manifold on the gantry where all the regulators and solenoids are mounted?

I have a constant bleed coming from it and one of the techs that have passed through my place said it's normal.

Thanks

No it is not normal it will make your air compressor run alot more I too have had that issue, I drain the air out of the whole system then wait a couple of minutes and then turn the air back on. But I need to find the cause.

I just love it when a tech can't figure something out, he just says that's normal. If you car did that would you think it's normal?

There is most likely a 3 way air valve there. It is supposed to bleed pressure when in a certain mode. It's just leaking. Best way to find it is squirt some foam brush soap around the area.

It's only normal because they all end up doing it.. It's not normal for a supposed expert on the equipment to leave it like that.... It can be fixed by replacing a part, not sure if it's laziness or incompetence from them.. But as you'll find, you care much more about your equipment and costs than a supplier does.

Sounds like you have a Mac valve sticking by some of the comments. You can take them apart to clean, inspect, and oil so everything slides nicely.. I've successfully repaired them. A cleaning may remove enough gunk for it to work properly again. :)

The Mac valves on a SoftGloss XS, XS2, Maxx are in a bad area the whole manifold needs to be in a water tight enclosure not in the open where the elements can erode the components. I have had to drill the heads off to replace a Mac Valve and always replace the screws even with a new valve kit with stainless steel screws and there are 10-13 mac valves and a number of adjustment knobs as well.

I had this same problem and fixed it by replacing the top brush valve.
