Ran my first guys off for good

This is the first time in 12 years and 4 car washes that I ever told a "customer" to not come back. Idiot pulls into IBA with all kinds of trash and grass etc in his bed, so halfway through his wash I see crud blowing everywhere and I kill the wash. When he asks what happened I told him: "Well, this trash can blow in front of an infrared eye and shut down the wash, I sure hope it didn't do major damage to my equipment." So he goes to my outside bay and blows the rest of the junk out which includes 1/2 lb of nails and screws. I sent him a security photo of himself along with a letter saying that if I catch him on my property again I'd have him charged with tresspassing.

The local owner of a successful sign company uses words I like: I realize that everyone who steps through my front door, does not need to be my customers.

You?ve got more patience than me. I get a few each year that are invited never to come back. I figure that if the jerk doesn?t know the difference between right and wrong by the time he becomes an adult, there is no hope for them.

I've also told a number of "customers" to never come back. So far it's usually due to their attitude after I politely ask them to turn their music down or inform them that bed washing isn't allowed.

The other day I saw someone parked by a vac and saw him messing with something in his lap and looking around to make sure no one was wathing him. When I approached him and asked what he was doing he said he was about to vacuum (which he didn't). I told him I was just checking because I thought he might have been rolling a blunt, but he swore he wasn't. After he left without using the vacuum I checked the trash can and sure enough there was a piece of paper filled with loose tobacco from a cigar. The piece of paper was his freakin' resume. I emailed him and told him he'd be arrested if he ever came back. I also used my publicdata.com account and checked the registration of the vehicle and called his dad to tell him what his son is doing in the car he bought for him.

In these tough economic times, I try to be a little more tolerant of the idiots, but sometimes ya just gotta run them off. A lot depends on their attitude after you try to be nice and explain what is and is not allowed. As Jim said, if they don't have it by the time they are adults, there is little hope for them.
