I just repaired one of my Ray Pak boilers and thought I would make a post showing simple repairs for others. I had a small leak coming from under the boiler and was not sure what it was. I removed the hood so that I could get down to the heat exchanger, and manifolds on each end of the exchanger. WHen looking down on the exchanger I could see some water puddled up on the return manifold on the far side of the exchanger. This could have been from a bad exchanger, cracked manifold or bad seals. I loosened up the 6 bolts that hold the manifold on and pulled it off. The manifold looked good with no cracks and I could not see any leaking on the heat exchanger. When I looked at the seals between the manifold and the heat exchanger I could see one of the red rubber seals had cracked causing the leak. I ordered a seal kit from Huron valley sales for $19 and installed 9 seals over the heat exchanger pipes using some high temperature silicone on the exchanger side of the seal. Then I snugged up the manifold back onto the exchanger. Do not go to tight here just snug them up good. Picture 1 shows the inlet/outlet side of the first manifold, the heat exchanger and the removed manifold. Picture 2 show the seals installed ready for the manifold. It would be s simple basic repair to fix almost anything on the ray pak boiler wet side of things.
