I have about 20 Coleman Combo vacs in service. I took out the fluorescents and placed screw in sockets in place of the fixtures. I used cfl bulbs and they have been lasting very well. The last vacs I refurbed I used some screw in led bulbs in and they have so far been working well.

Here is photo of painted top. One on top just painted . The other was done about 5 years ago. Light would not shine thru but my islands are lit from above.
