I have an American Changer with two MARS/MEI acceptors on my main token dispenser. Reliability is 99%.

I'm considering upgrading the bill stackers from 500 bill capacity to a larger unit. This would let me stretch a little further in-between collections, such as when I'm traveling and its not convenient to visit the wash.

Have you had experience with 700 or 1,000 bill stackers/bill boxes? Any change or decrease in reliability of your changer?

Thanks!

Sequoia,

We used the 1000 bill stacker for a number of years in a changer. Works fine and you won't need to worry about the bill validator shutting down over a weekend if you can not get to the site.

That's terrible!!! Awkward to remove money???? If the commute were so long, I'd volunteer to collect for you for a small fee!!

Most of the Mars validators we sell we sell with the 700 bill box. The 500 is a little to small for a car wash changer.

Both sides of our DRS have the 700 bill box, and they will get packed almost but not quite full from a filled hopper. A friend with a wash in a less nice area will have his validator shut down from being full before the hopper runs out with the same validator/stacker. Jams are rare, but when it happens it seems to be more common when the stacker is empty rather than full, so it doesn't seem like anything caused by the capacity of the stacker.
