Remote PLC access

I have my entire wash controlled by one PLC. It keeps track of all income, alarm system, lighting, heat, etc. I would like to access this from home to view and reset faults, etc. I am thinking of setting up a VPN through Dyndns since I don't have a static IP address to allow me to do this. I am using an allen bradley SLC 5/05 PLC.

Is anyone currently doing this? What router are you using? Does it seem pretty secure? What equiptment does your PLC use for remote access?

Yeah you could do it that way. Many routers have VPN capability, but they can be tricky to setup and the VPN overhead will take up about 50% of the data going across. Security would be very good.
