I have D/H TouchSelect 2000 Doors, for my SS meter boxes. What would you guys suggest I do, to replace them, whom to use, & about how much would it cost me? I take coins, MEI validator & Cryptopay right now, & would definitely want that put on the new door.
Would it be easier to just retrofit mine out & turn my existing door into a Rotary dial? There's a guy in Dallas who works for G/D/H, Grant-Dilling-Harris, who says he can retro my existing door, doing just what I want, for $900. That sounds WAY high to me, but it is only 2 hrs away & no shipping.

Advice...?

Cost sounds reasonable, but you might want to think about your ability to fix the door in the future. Rotary Switch you can repair or replace yourself. One option for buying a replacement door is Etowah Valley Equipment. The cost for a door, Dixmoor LED 7 timer, Rotary Switch, wiring and decals is approximately $750. I bought my last one about 10 months ago, so price could have increased since. Connecting the wiring for the replacement door was simple compared to the touch selects. I swapped out the bill validator, coin mech and lock from my existing doors.

I'll take a picture of the inside this evening and post it. I've included a picture of the outside.

Give Doug at Ginsan a call. They will make whatever you would like. Their prices are fair, and very easy to deal with.

You can do this yourself and save a few hundred bucks. Simply order a new door overlay, but one designed for a rotary switch, Strip the old overlay off, throw away the push button junk, fill in the holes with epoxy, drill new holes for the rotary, rewire and put new overlay on, and you're done. Many don't know that anytime you put on a sticky decal you need to get the metal really really clean. Then spray the door and sticky part of the decal with water, and place it on. Squeeze the bubbles out, and in an hour or so the water evaporates and you have a new looking door.

Drilling the hole for the rotary switch isn't very difficult either. Get a good quality 1/8" cobalt bit and drill a pilot hole, then enlarge it to 1/2" with a step-drill. There's a set at Harbor Freight on sale for $7.99.

What rotary switch do y'all suggest, from KR?
This seems kinda overwhelming to me. It sounds fairly easy, but there is a $hit ton of wires! Will LED6 be a simple replacement & what about coin mech & my MEI bill validator?

Also, for LED6, do I need the plug & wiring harness also?
Seems like I could do the job for cost of rotary & LED6. Around $350 + Decal...?

I use the standard Electroswitch, the Shallco are junk and don't last.

The KR prewired switch is a Shallco, and their prewire thing isn't fully prewired, plus it's impossible to make it tidy.

It's easy once you understand the switch wiring, but it's up to you whether you decide to learn it or pay someone else to do it.

The LED6 is easy. It will connect to the bill acceptor, it just wires in with the coin acceptor.
