RO water for presoaks

Just found out my RO is mixing with my hot soft water for all my presoaks and soaps, what effect would running RO water with Hi and Lo pre soaks have? Would this be a good thing since RO water has nothing in it to counter act with the presoaks?

I have been fighting getting cars clean mostly not being able to cut into road film, would this have any effect in the cleaning power?

I have one site that uses all RO water for chemicals and two sites that use just soft water for chemicals and I cannot tell any difference in cleaning quality between the sites.

If you use RO water for anything other than final rinse, you are just wasting money.
