Are you going to be leaving these up year round?

You will have to post some pictures if you install these. The price looks reasonable enough.

Will those light the place up much, or just pretty much decoration?

In my opinion rope light that sags or is not perfectly straight looks bad. I would carefully select the type of mount I used. I would look into continuous rigid straight mounting track if the cost was reasonable.

I was at Bass Pro Shops last night and they have white LED lights on the outline on the building, looks pretty sharp. I've thought about doing it a few times, maybe it's time

I agree about lights that aren't straight look tacky. I have these up on 4 buildings. The magnets are genius and super strong. Super simple to put up (if you have metal flashings that magnets will stick to). Changing out the LED bulbs for different colors is simple. Expensive but worth every penny. http://litenetics.com/

THANK YOU Seattle Guy for recommending Litenetics.com!! Last month I ordered 3 sets of 100' spools (using larger C9 bulbs, warm LED color, 12" spacing) and put them around the top of my car wash. The magnet is located at the base of the bulb, with a wire that runs in-between. They were VERY EASY to install, perfectly straight on the top metal flashing, like lining up dominoes! The look is FUN & FESTIVE! Here's a link to my website that shows a photo of how it looks - https://www.citrusheightscarwash.com/

The lights were a little expensive, but I think well worth it. A 100' strand was $162 each. Total including shipping was $514.25. Having a metal mansard panel, I'm limited as to how I can hang holiday lights. I knew I didn't want to hang hooks, or bother with drooping plastic rope lights. My plan is to leave these lights up during the winter months, and remove them in the spring. I looked into the longer lengths, but they weigh more. A 100' strand weighs approximately 8 pounds. My car wash is open 24 hours, and already have LED lights in the bays and on the building. Since putting up the holidays lights 2 weeks ago, I'm seeing more credit card transactions after the sun goes down. Adding FESTIVE holiday lights around my building just tells my customers that I'm open for business even when it's cold and dark outside! :)

I've had mine up for about 2 and a half years and they are still going strong. I leave them up all year and the the LED's are still strong. High initial price but well worth it IMHO. I did not if the bulbs are facing out horizontally they make a more dramatic effect than if they are pointing up vertically.

Coincidentally, I purchased 4 Star Shower Projectors for my home that are staked into my lawn, pointing at my house and up to my trees. They work great, easy to install, and no ladders to climb. But they're NOT vandal-proof. Anyone could come along and steal the lawn stakes or bases. How were you planning to secure your bases at your wash? I love the look of my C9 LED bulbs, they have a very Classic Retro look that will never go out of style!! :)

They have projectors in tunnels now.... I doubt they ever get stolen? Autos have the modern style lights like Waxman wants and I have never heard of theft? Plus it only cost $30. (It is more expensive now for some reason?)

I can see purchasing multiple Star Projectors.... ours only covers a portion of our house. But next year our kids will want Star Shower Projector Version 2 so we will have 2 of them next year! LOL :)
