Randy is right. Rowe is done. Rowe and Triad were both bought out by
American Changer. I bought a new Rowe BC 1600 bill
changer a few months before that happened. It was a disaster, It would sometimes take customers money without dispensing anything, then not accept anything until a power reset.
American changer makes a retrofit kit for Rowe BC 1400, BC 1600, and Triad 400 that fits in the same cabinet. Costs around 2K. I have not had any problems since I installed the kit. I was pissed I had to spend 2K and put a retrofit kit in a newly bought machine but it is what it is. When I bought my first wash many years ago, the first thing I replaced was the bill
changer. My thought was If my customers are trying to give me money and I can't accept it or dispense it properly then I'm losing money and I'm probably not going to make it in this business. Make sure you have a good
changer. Your
changer is your income.
