BC1400- error code says "ck R coin hopper" the red LED lights are on but the right LED chute has quarters all the way up and in front of the LED and the left chute has none. Which side is the problem? The manual isn't to helpful. Should I just call someone in to fix? Thanks-Kevin

I think you may have read the code wrong, it is hard to see looking at an angle.

If the right led is blocked it should read "ck R coin dtkr". If you take out the dispenser assembly you will probably find a piece of paper or string has accumulated in the shoot down to the hopper. Clean it out and you should be good. Don't forget to check all three payouts before you let the customers use it.

Both hoppers should have coins up the chain.
Take both hoppers out, empty them and make sure they are clean of dirt along the chain (8 screws to take apart if needed), sometime a dime will get stuck in there.
When hoppers are empty turn the "T" to make sure they turn freely.
If everything looks o.k. take out the plate behind the hoppers to check if their is an obstruction to the two LED, if its clean, replace both LED lights (even if you see red lights, they could be too week)

Usually If this happens a hopper hasn't opened to drop quarters then it goes to add quarters back to hopper and there isn't room for the quarters so they back up the shoot. Then that rips the error code. Check to see if your dispensing hoppers open properly when $ 1, $ 5 and $10 change is made if not. probably have a jammed hopper. If they start to do this very often it is usually the cross shafts for the dispensing hoppers wearing out. They can be replaced. Good Luck Bill
