Astropmatic is NOT a Ryko parts dealer in any way associated with Ryko. He, Astromatic, just copied a business plan I had when I sold Ryko parts in Texas a while ago. He also doesn't know as much as he thinks he knows about the machines. Ryko has softened their parts sales due to many factors. If you have the time and inclination you can still save a lot of money by sourcing the parts yourself. For instance Ryko doesn't build many of the parts they use on their machines. Neither do the other guys. They buy off the shelf components. Many times they have the part speced out for them only, so that no one else can buy that exact part. However, and here's where the fun comes in, the difference in the speced unit verses the factory normal is usually trivial. I bought gearboxes from a company that had this arrangement with Ryko, and found out that they had high temperature seals speced for the boxes to make it "special". The regular ones worked just fine and cost half. You sometimes have to get a little creative when you ask about these things. Not exactly industrial espionage or NASA snooping, but rather just getting a good deal. And if you want to create a nice reputation, tell others here of anything you find to save them money.
