My Softgloss has the progtam where the arms ocillate in the back so that it covers the entire back. Lately it is not always getting it and sometimes leaves a stripe as much as a foot wide. The pressures seem ok. What else could cause this?
Thanks

Well I'm not sure. Do you mean time? I know it hasn't been changed but I don't know what it is.

I'm not sure about the Softgloss but with my Vector I had a similar problem. It ended up being the sensors the arms would touch at the back and front but they wouldn't shuttle (overlap the last pass). We ended up having to put bushings under our DS and PS sensors to extend them by about 2". Luckily for me I ran into someone that had run into this problem before.

It seems to do it on a certain size cars only. A VW Jetta is fine and suvs are fine but something loke a chrysler 300, a small pickup or a Lincoln it doesn't get the center. I turned off the air and both arms seem to move freely. I'm not sure what sensor that I would have except the ultrasonic and I don't think that has anything to do with the back but I may be wrong about that.

The rear arms will only oscillate on taller vehicles. If everything was working before and no programing was changed, I would guess it is a solenoid has failed or is intermittent. It could be lots of things including the brushes themselves could need some sections replaced. The best thing to do is watch the wash and compare what happens when it leaves the skunk stripe as compared to when it does not.

Thanks. I have my tech there today to assess the damage from some guy who opened his door at a very inopportune time so he is going to check out this issue as well.
