Im working on a ryko softgloss and im having and issue with the machine activating. It has a multi upgrade ryko entry station and is not a networked machine.

What is happening is that you enter a code, the wash arms and vehicle enters and the wash runs as should and completes, you pull out and the wash immediately arms itself again, it will wash and complete again and again and just keep re arming itself. entry station is in a frozen state while this is happening, just says enter wash. You can turn the knob to closed then back to open and it resets and the entry station is ready for a code again but after just one wash this happens.

Its like the signal for the wash in use and reset are not working , whatever tells the entry station that the wash is in use and what tells the machine to reset after a wash are not working but I have no info of the way this works or what to look for and input/outputs..

Does anyone have any ideas??

Not familiar with this machine but it sounds like a solenoid or a relay is getting stuck. I assume you cycled the power for cashier and wash plc?

Sounds like the coin box interface inside the paystation is bad. Sometimes on power spikes the code a wash takes a hit, and loses it's programming for what type of paystaion it's connected to. This is a older paystation and a cbi, will be hard to come across.

Does the wash work like normal if you enter the two digit code? Or does it keep re-arming itself?

If the carwash is rearming after a wash on the older DTMF systems, there are two possible ways it could be happening. It will be eeither the backup input signal coming from the CBI, or the internal latch reset signal coming from the CAW console.

When the wash rearms, does the next car get the same wash options as the car that went just before it? On the WEI (in the elec cabinet of the SG), turn all the dipswitches to "OFF". When the outputs rearm, do they match the wash that just completed? If so, this is likely an internal latch reset signal problem.

If the wash options don't match the preceding vehicle's wash package, do the options that come on match the backup switch settings? As an example, if you only turn on switches 1 and 9, you should get a basic wash and a one pass dry. If you only turn on switches 1 and 4, do you get a basic wash and wheel scrub? If this is what is happening, you have a problem with wire 500 (backup signal). If this is the case, it's most likely a boom cable problem, but you can run a jumper wire from 500 to 26 to keep the signal high to prevent the problem.

If it turns out it's the internal latch problem, send me a PM or Email and I'll provide more detail.
