I am having an issue with my Ryko Softgloss and the closing of the Airlift garage doors and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

My thermostat for the doors is set around 40 degrees. It was working fine and when a wash was purchased any time the temperature was colder than 40 the doors would open and then shut once the wash started and then after it was finished. A couple of days ago I noticed that both doors were staying open after a wash. I checked to make sure that the red dot was flashing which enables the door close function and it was. During my troubleshooting one weird thing that I noticed was that while it was cold and the door was supposed to be shut, if I manually closed the door and then pushed the emergency stop button then pulled it out, the door would open. Normally it would act in the opposite manor and when it is cold outside if I open the door and then push the emergency stop and pulled it back then the door would shut as it should after a wash was complete.
I spoke to the person that has been doing the work on my machine and he wasn't sure what the problem was but suggested that it could be the thermostat. I tried a different one and it didn't solve the problem, so that wasn't it. I am not sure what else to check. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Have you check the photoeyes to the doors?
Photoeyes seem fine, but I will double check. I did replace one of them just last month. One thing that I wanted to update is that if I close both doors and then push the emergency stop button then pull it out (while the weather is warm and doors supposed to be open) then the exit door opens up, but the entrance door stays shut. Not sure if that would help diagnose it or not. I also checked the loop sensor and that works fine.

Rule of thumb if you replace one the other may just be right behind it.
True, and that is why I bought the transmitter and have it on standby. The receiver was the defective one last time. Two things steered me away from thinking it's the photoeyes thought. First of all, last time when the photo eyes went bad, the door would open with the button but when you pushed the button to close it, nothing would happen. Now you can manually open and close the doors using the buttons. Second, when the temp gets cold, both the entrance and exit doors stay open. If it was the photo eyes then only one door would be affected as was the case last time.
The only things that I can think of that affect both doors would be the thermostat and the softgloss itself as it sends the signal when the wash is done. It is not the thermostat so I really don't know much about how the softgloss communicates with the doors to be able to diagnose that. Not sure what else it can be.

Does the person that works on your softgloss have a Ryko handheld to set the thermostat for the doors?
He does have a Ryko handheld. Is there something that he can set? I don't think that programming would have randomly just changed. Is that possible?

What program is installed int he machine?
In the setup questions, is "Auto Door" turned on, or off?
In the test functions from the remote communications interface box, is "F0" turned on? The LED should be flashing if it is enabled.
Do you have Ryko coinboxes installed? This will make a difference in which thermostats the program will read.

Not sure what program is installed, but I can find out and let you know. Is it on an eeprom in the machine?
Auto Door should be turned on, nothing was changed unless it changed on it's own. Is that possible?
The LED on F0 is flashing.

I don't have Ryko coinboxes, I have Jim Coleman Entry Wizards.

Thanks.

Inside the electrical panel of the machine, you will see the Mitsubishi PLC. Toward the bottom, there will likely be a blue cable with a din plug attached. There is a small cover over that section of the PLC that you can remove. You should see an EEPROM under that cover with a label affixed to it. The program will most likely be a number like 22925-002 or 25696-000 with a revision letter following. If it is one of the two I've listed, the Email I sent do you covers everything in detail that needs to be checked.

I just wanted to update and say that my doors are now working fine. I thought about lying and saying it was something complicated, but in all honesty it was completely my fault and the simplest thing ever. It was just turned off as F0 was not flashing. That is the simplest and most common thing to check, but what happened is that when I looked at the panel, the red dot was flashing at all times so I thought that it was turned on. I didn't know that it had to be flashing at F0 itself. I figured that when it was on then the red dot would always flash. I guest that red flashing dot means something totally different. Worse part is that I must have accidentealy turned if off while I was testing some functions on Friday, then spent countless hours trying to fix a problem that wasn't there. O well, I guess it's always better that it wasn't anything major. Now if I can just get my stupid Ultimate Products tube heater to work...

I want to thank everyone that chimed in and especially Ryko Cs for taking the time to respond both on this forum and by sending me emails. It is really appreciated.
