I am having problems with TF code 74 ultra sonic sensor. Ryko tech replaced front sensor that is reading a low number 6 and keep timing out after a few washes.
CMD display will not light up, if wash is not shut down customer will pay and doors will not open (if doors are open) wash will not do anything? We checked the
the PLC, check the breakers, so now I am waiting for Ryko tech to return to see if we can get wash to operate. We have ICS pay stations had their tech out to see
if it was anything with the POS station. They checked all wire connections, and everything working fine. As of this writing I am down. Any advice anyone???

Is this a Radius HT model machine, or ???

On most Ryko equipment, if the CMD sign will not light up, it's indicating that the machine isn't ready to wash.

If this is a Radius HT, for the machine to be ready to wash, it needs to physically be in the home position with the proper inputs on, as well as some additional inputs that enable the machine to be ready to be armed. To see if the machine is physically in the home position, it's looking for the following inputs:

If spray arm is at home on the right side: X12 Entrance Photoeye X41 Arm Rotate Right – Rear Prox, X42 Arm Rotate Right – Front Prox, X44 Right Trolley Position Prox, X46 Dryer Nozzle Oscillate Home position Prox (onboard dry only), X50 Arm Tilt Prox, X51 Front End Stop Prox, X66 Frequency Drive Fault Signal.

If all of those are "on", the machine is in home position and it would be more likely to be an ultrasonic issue.

If your ICS coinbox is still able to allow someone to arm it, very likely the coinbox is not wired correctly. PLC output Y32 is "on" when the machine is ready to arm. If the machine isn't able to arm, that output should go "off". This is wire 92, and should have a connection to the coinbox to indicate the machine is not ready to arm.

Need more info: is this a Radius or a US 2001 OHD? If its a Radius does it have ultrasonics on the wall or are all four sensors on the gantry? Generally if code 74 happens when the machine is idle the rear sensor (entrance side of machine) is not reading the floor. Could be caused by a weak sensor, bad cable or even foam on the floor.
