SC conversion kits for standard change 500?

My standard change 500 wont accept cash anymore. I had some quotes done for a replacement, and for both units it will be over 10k. However, i see standard change has conversion kits for about 1k to convert to coinco or mars validators.

This is compelling, but i dont want to spend $2k and then not be able to install them.

I do most the work at my cw myself. Has anyone installed one of these? How tough was it? Was it something you can install in a day?

Secondly, i cannot find reviews on mars/mei vs coinco. Which setup did you ise and why?

Standard stopped repairing the system 500 about 10 years ago. Your best bet would be to install a SC conversion kit. I’ve sold a number of them since they came out. They work well and are easy to install, I’ll send you the install manual. The best validator for that application is the Mars/MEI validator. The Coinco validator is OK but they don’t seem to as reliable as the Mars/MEI validator. You want Kit #4K01328-FI list price is $1480.00
