It has come that time of year again to start thinking about seal coating my parking lot. I live in a northern climate (Ohio) and have to wonder if sealcoating every year is a waste of money? I mean they don't sealcoat the roads and they seem to last as long as my parking lot. Anyone in a freezing climate not sealcoat their parking lots? How is is working out if you don't sealcoat.
I also see these sealcoat sprayers advertised in several places: http://www.ebay.com/itm/275-Gal-Asp...ultDomain_0&hash=item3a7cb176c5#ht_711wt_1238 Has anyone on here used one of these and are they any good? My worry is you can't add much sand to the mix without an air diaphram pump and a mechanical mixer. This leads me to my third question, how much sand should I be using so my lot isn't to slick in the winter time?
I would rather sealcoat my lot myself if its not to much hassle. If one of these rigs would work I think I would go that route.
