Last year we briefly had an employee with detailing experience and it opened my eyes to the value of the detail work - not only for vehicle preservation but also in terms of increased personal/team pride and general fleet appearance and presentation.
I believe training is valuable and worth the investment assuming you find the right trainer and program. We are not washing/detailing for commercial purposes, but rather doing this in-house for our own fleet. So I'm looking for someone to come to our facility (Cleveland, OH) that will provide quality/real training for several of our employees on the type of work we need to do for our vehicles. Finding the right person who can train, is willing to train and looks at this as a consulting engagement rather than loss of work is important.
Last year I saw the drastic change - as evidenced on these two trucks side by side, consider it a "before and after". If you have any suggestions on who we might contact - either post information here or send me a PM please. Thank you.
