What tip is everyone using for there self serve triple foam gun?
I may have to try that, I just remembered that when I used a 4040 tip it was a MEG and had the figure-8 stabilizer in it. That tip gave two streams instead of a fan. It improved a little after I removed the stabilizer but I never liked it, besides it was 1/4" and the guns it fits don't have an extension for the tip protector.I use H1/8U-SS5040 and it looks amazing.
How would anyone know that without hour meters on their triple foam equipment? Just guessing by watching people or chemical usage?I have yet to see ANY wash make money with this option
That is a really good point and I have seen it many times at other washes. That goes for any position on the dial. If the selection doesn't appear to do anything (beyond just foaming) then people won't use it and you might as well not have it.Does it really do anything?
I "just guess" by watching about a third of customers use it. Not guesstimating, I watched video and counted. How would anyone know that without hour meters on their triple foam equipment? Just guessing by watching people or chemical usage?
I also use the Simoniz UVP. It says it provides UV protection, which I advertise on the dial as well as the product brand. I've seen a lot of customers apply it and let time run out, then use the foam brush over it, which is interesting since the product says to apply and "mitt" it into the surface. I tried it and you can see a difference in the finish. It's like claying, it looks cleaner and the color is deeper on a metallic clear coat paint. That is a really good point and I have seen it many times at other washes.
