Selling coupons in vending machine

I bought some $1 and $5 MEI coupons for use in my self serve bays and was thinking about selling a discounted bundle in my vending machine. Any thoughts on the best bay to put them in there? Would putting them in an envelope work, or is there a better way? If in an envelope, what is the best way to label the envelope to make it stand out? I know that others here are selling them that way, so any tips or information would be great. Thanks.

We tried something similar, and no one bought them unless they were practically dragged over to the vendor and had them pointed out and explained to them.

Lol that's exactly how it is with my in bay bill acceptors. I'd say over 95% of customers that I see over at the changer once I tell them that they can just put the $'s in the bay, they all say that they didn't know that and head back not needing change anymore. I only imagine if it wasn't right in there face with a large sign as well.

I sell Hamilton TokenNotes in my ShurVend vendor. I use #7 coin envelopes. My inkjet printer is used to print the price and information on the front. The ShurVend accepts bills, coins, and also Credit Cards.

I won't be specific.....but I sell TONS of these things. My customers would revolt if I stopped selling the discounted tokens.

For me, it's a no brainer.

Are you selling them for auto or self-serve? What kind of discount are you giving on the coupons? I have a shurvend as well that takes credit cards, dollars and coins so that is why I thought of selling them in the machine.

I sell them for my Automatic Touchless.

My automatics are priced at $6, $7, $8 and $9.

I sell (4) $7 tokens for $22.

FWIW, I also sell gift cards in the ShurVend that work with my WashGear system. They work in both the SS, and Automatic washes. $50 gets you a card with $60 in value.....and $100 gets you a card with $125 in value.

I was thinking about selling $25 for $20 for my self serve bays. What do you print on the envelopes exactly? I want to make sure that it is noticeable even when in the spirals of the vending machine.

The Gift Cards are vended without envelopes.

The TokenNote envelopes say:

xxxxx Car Wash
Automatic Wash
Tokens

4-$7

...and then the Vend Price of $22 is displayed under the coils.

I also do NOT use the coil next to it.....and have a placard with an arrow pointing to the TokenNote envelope "coil".

It says:

Automatic Bay
Wash Tokens
SAVE MONEY!
$7 Value Each

Save $1.50 per Wash!
