We use Shallco Series 1610 - 10 position rotary switches in our self serve bays and have experienced a higher than normal rate of failure in the last year. One recently "locked up" after only being in use for 2 months. Shallco is very good about warranty returns, and replacements. I just wondered if any of you have also experienced this issue at your washes?

we are also having problems with shallco switch rusting shut, we use a gasket and then use anti seiz with reduces the problem, at 50$ a switch we try and do every thing to reduced this problem, the slight water leak will cause problems.

Shallco have always been crap. I won't use them. The price difference between them and Electroswitch isn't that much considering the Electroswitch last at least five years. I've never had a Shallco last more than a year before it gets so sloppy the dial lands between the functions. I don't know why Shallco decided to make theirs with the anchor point upside-down from everyone else either.
