Have been looking for a common and relatively cheap product to clean and polish my stainless vacs and other stainless things. I can highly recommend a spray bottle of Weiman stainless cleaner and polish. The vacs at the wash I bought had not been cleaned in about 18 years. This stuff you just spray on and wipe down. Use a clean cloth after to polish. No scrubbing and/or buffing. Saw my wife using it on out kitchen appliances and could not believe it. She gets it at the local grocery store.

Will this product clean stainless like acid back to New or just keep it shiney and slick like wax for stainless? Thanks

No, it cleans off loose stuff, but it won't break anything like bird poop and it doesn't remove overspray from the bays. It just leaves a film that makes it look better until someone beats their floor mat on it. It also leeches under the decals.

FWIW I use Klean Wall on the vacs every few years, just mop it on with a rag and rinse it off with h/p soap, which is high pH and neutralizes the acid. They look like new with no real effort.

I've also used Kleen Wall, cut 50/50 with water, but it's easy to burn it if you get distracted. This stuff is just a lot safer and cheaper.

All the stainless polishes I've tried just put a layer of oil on top that attracts dust out of the filter bags. As a result I've always just used an aerosol glass cleaner or other oil free product. Will this stuff leave an oily film?

Yup, when I was a lowly attendant as a kid I was told to wipe down the vacs under the drying shed with Sheila Shine. They looked great, for about fifteen minutes, then someone came through and beat his mats against one of the vacs and left an inch of dirt over an entire 2-car area of the drying shed I had just cleaned. I had to wash the vacs with soap and water.

When I had vacs under a drying shed, I'd wipe down a couple every day using one towel more wet to remove the dust and another as dry as I would wring it to remove the streaks. I've tried cleaners but haven't found anything that works better than my two towel method.
