We probably find 2-3 a month or so. We weigh the quarters so i probably miss hearing them. I find them when i'm drying the quarters before weighing them. It's like finding a little treasure! Found a buffalo nickel and a standing liberty recently just dropped in the lot

We used to see a pretty good number of silver quarters years ago. You could hear them when they went through the coin counter. A few years ago we got a large number of Barber quarters from the late 1890’s to the early 1900’s, most of them were in pretty bad shape, you could barely read inscription the coin.

last I checked, there worth .$ 25 cents.
As of today, a silver quarter is worth $4.43 just in its silver content. The one OP shows would be worth about $15 to a coin collector since it's in such good condition.

Face value, yes, but there are collectors that will pay $7+, depending on the year, condition and how much they want the coin. True silver enthusiasts will calculate the current price per silver based on its weight.

Oh, they are worth much more than what I thought. I used to save them in a small container thinking as time goes by they will continue to increase in value. I guess time wasn't going fast enough for me and they just seemed to be in the way, so they go into the quarter wrappers now. They're usually pretty trashed anyway.
To me, there worth 25 cents.

Not seeing any lately, but I always listen for them.

As an aside, I was unwrapping/separating dollar coins as we only use the gold colored ones and discovered a 2 Euro coin in one and ended up with 2 Loonies before all 1000 were unwrapped.

How are you all sorting your coins to find the silver ones?
We don't look for them, it's a total waste of time. Our time is more valuable to be pawing though quarters looking that 1 in 1000 silver quarter. If we hear one in the coin counter we try to get it but most of the time they just get sorted just like all the other quarters.
