I don’t know about “Correct” but I’ve been having problems with “Sonic Wash” separating. So I just today got a 50 Lbs. box of Kleen-rite “Inbay Turbo Power” http://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-32415-inbay-turbo-powder-50lbs.aspx to use in my Self-Serve bays as a Presoak. I’ve heard good things a about it so I figured I’d give it a try. One 50 Lb. box makes 55 gallons of product. 55 gallons is a lot so I figured I’d mix it in small 5 gallon batches to save space. I’ve also heard good things about “Super Kleen” http://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-13437-super-kleen-powder-hazardous-material-50-lbs.aspx I have a good friend who uses “Super Kleen” and he adds a cup of Foam Brush soap to get it to Foam more. I’ll keep you posted on how the “Inbay Turbo Kleen” works.

I have used correct powder several times. It generally cleans well. It does not disolve as well as other powders I have tried and generally needs mixing much longer to get it to disolve. It will fall out of solution a little over time. I think if you had a motor blending unit that turned on every now and then it would be good. It does not provide a lot of foam and different products I tried to use with it generally would not stay mixed with it. The main complaint I always had with it was customers thinking they were not getting as much presoak as they were used to. It still did the job but did not provide the "sizzle" with the steak.

Simoniz Correct

I have not used Correct either but have used Simoniz Power Wash. My thoughts were the same, this is priced right. In presoak it worked but lacked the foam show and in high pressure, not even close to enough show. I was mixing it at 3/4 lb to 1 gal of water and still could not get it to show. It seemed to clean okay but finally had to add some other liquid to it to get it to show. So it seemed less expensive than my current powder but in the end it actually cost more till I got it where I wanted it. My current powder is $83.00 and I use 8oz per gal. All the simoniz powders say medium foam so I would assume that they all would be similar in that respect. CCAR

Kleen Rite sells a foaming additive. It's $10 for a gallon. If I remember correctly, the recommended ratio is half a gallon for 1 box of Correct. Even with the foamer added it is not the best show. Also, you need to keep mixing it regularly. If not, the foam level will diminish as you go through each batch.

The best way to make it work is to go Blendco style and use a dual barbed injector, adding a foaming product "on demand" with an ultra lean tip. As CCAR said, this brings the cost way up, depending on what you choose to add for foam. You can probably use one of the KR super concentrated presoaks. They are foamy with fragrance.

CCAR, what powder are you using?

Mad, the foaming additive you reference I believe is the Simoniz Foam Additive http://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-2726-simoniz-foam-additive-5-gallons.aspx. About $10/gallon. Haven't tried it yet.

It turns out I had a box of correct I bought years ago and I also had some foamer that I use to add to my HP soap in my SS bays that was 8 years old. Anyway, as you all mentioned, it seems to clean well (at least in the winter months here) and adding 1/2 gallon of foamer helps some, but still not where I want it. I will order the foamer and a mixing motor that I will hook up to a timer so it runs a few times every day. http://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-2381-electric-barrel-mixer.aspx

Even if I had to add a gallon or two of foamer to it, if it cleans well, It will still be 1/4 of what I pay now for my Film Away presoak. However, when bug season rolls along, I'm not sure it will work as well...but does a good job in the 'easier to wash' winter season.

The powder I'm using is called Blue Label. I have tried a lot of other brands in an effort to find something better than this product but I'm convinced it's the best there is. It is made in Denver,Co. Website is choicemfg.com. Give Dave a call for more info. One other product that he has that seems to be a big seller is Clean Force, which is mostly used for presoak but is also used for a high pressure soap. I like this for a presoak because it dissolves bugs better than any others I have tried and its not toxic. Blue Label has an edge on cleaning in my opinion if used in high presssure, however some folks don't like powders so a liquid, Clean Force is available for them.

I was using the super clean turbo powder and I never had it separate and we never had to stir it and we switched to Simonize Correct and it definitely separates and we also have had some plugged up tips but I think by raising the foot valve off the bottom we may have fixed that.

add a gall of Simoniz foamer & that adds $11 + about $5 of Purple Passion & now you're at $66 or so. I did the same, but stil not as good show, smell, or certainly not cleaning as well as better soaps.

The Blue Label you talk about. Do you use that for your touch free auto and if so how good is it and what size tip do you use.
