Somebody has been working on one of my Slugbuster 2 short drop coin acceptors. On more than one occasion I've had to tighten up the screws on the coin return coin stop. I haven't been able to catch anything on video(it's not like they are messing with it every day). It's in the bay that the most hidden from the road so no one passing can see what they are doing. Are they trying to cheat it through the coin return? Are they cheating me or just repeatedly trying?

I think some one is messing with or they don't know what they are doing. There is nothing they can do to cheat the coin acceptor from the coin return.

Thanks for your reply Randy. I don't see how they could cheat it either, but ya never know.
Thanks for your input on this site with regard to bill validators, etc. Your posts came up regularly when I did searches here.

Sounds like someone wasted too much time on the internet researching ways to rip things off. There was a time many, many years ago people would snap the coin return cup off so they could get a coat hanger wire in and trip the cherry switch on the old mechanical coin acceptors. Kind of a pain to get a free wash if you ask me.

Thanks for the reply Dan. That's probably the case. I find bent paperclips and floss sticks around my vacuums all the time. All my vacuum coinmech's have a cover to keep that from happening. I suppose between the internet and PawPaws passing it down through sons and grandsons and great grandsons, the myth just keeps on going. I've actually found quarters with a hole drilled and a piece of fishing line tied to them. Still find a steel slug now and then. Canadian quarters, grrr. LOL
But, the reason I asked is because you never know what someone may have figured out.
