So What Else Can I add?

I'm all about maximizing my site, too and I chose used car sales to add. I have sold a few cars since acquiring my dealers license, despite many other dealers nearby my wash (5 or 6 within a mile). I am in process of obtaining a dealer plate to move the cars myself rather than pay towing.

It's time consuming, but it's relatively low investment and can be profitable. My town approved me for 6 cars at a time.

I find this to be a good fit with the wash and detail; more shiny and nice cars on the lot is a good thing.

How about a Propane refill and/or exchange center

I did have a conversation with a company who approached me for a tank exchange cage. It was winter and they were to call me back, but I never heard back. Have any of you done this...can't see it generating much, but perhaps I'm wrong?

Thanks Waxman... I did look into this and got my Ontario certification to do this but dropped it after I saw what the laws and regulations are here...its nuts and certainly discourages small timers!

Not in Ontario.. For example, if you sell a Honda civic and don't tell the buyer that you can't tow a 30' camper and she does and breaks the car...the dealer is responsible. This actually happen and the story is used by the Dealers licensing to show to what point things have turned in the buyers favor.

So I've come up with 3 things I can add/do;

1-Put tri-foam in the SS bays. with 3 wands already in the bay that will need some thinking.

2-Swap out my skate sharpening business and turn the small room into a water vend. Should do better with sales overall.

3-Going to apply for the FIT program (Feed In Tarrif) and install solar panels. The power authority pays just over 80 cents a KW/hr, guaranteeing for 20 years with very generous benefits (like don't need to pay taxes on revenues until invested amount is reached). My accountant has a few systems himself. See http://fit.powerauthority.on.ca/quick-facts-table-0

I've considered offering the tri-foam switchable between the gun and the brush since I've seen so many people apply the tri-foam with the gun and then use the brush or their own mitt to rub it in. I don't know if enough people would use it if it only came through the brush, or if most people would skip the foam brush option and just use the tri-foam brush.
