softgloss shuts down at back of bay after applying trifoam.

So after tri foam is applied machine shuts down put my handheld on it and checked codes found 0102 1004 2143 called ryko they said its losing the bay switch. But when I test switch it is fine. I try moving machine home and it has to roll back then forward to move home. Any suggestions?

The Mercury switches always gave me fits until I switched over to using a pressure pad in place of the hinged setup. Go through and check all the wire connections especially where there are any splices.

Tried that but no luck so I ran a new wire over and still no luck. Think it may be a broken wire in boom so now I'm looking for the schematic

I'm going to check the solenoid tomorrow thanks. It usually pops the circuit protector but I'll change it anyway to rule one thing out. Thanks

With the codes you provided, 0102 is the sequence code, and that describes that the machine is washing reverse after detecting the rear tire with the photoeye. The code 1004 is a vehicle left early code, which usually indicates a loss of bayplate.

There could be a couple of things happening. When you are at the rear and it's just getting ready to drive forward in a wash pass, it's also switching from the trifoam over to normal wash water and detergent, so if one of those were pulling down the 24VAC, that could cause it to lose the bayplate signal by relay K24 dropping out.

If it's not happening on every wash, it could also be a boom wire going bad. If the vehicles that it's stopping on are approximately the same length, if a conductor is bad that carries that signal from the wash bay box into the machine, it could act the same way.
