Solenoids for Spot Free Rinse...

What solenoids are best for use with spot free < for water going to the bays. The ones I will be replacing are 3/32, 24v, mopd 200. 1/4 inch. Can't seem to find these exact ones.

KR has the s.s. ones in 1/4" npt and 1/8" orifice for $26.99.

The problem with the 1/8" orifice is the MOPD is only 150 PSI.

I prefer this solenoid since I run the spot free at 500 PSI:

The image for it is incorrect, it actually looks like this one:

Makes sense...I only run my SFR at 150 psi...So either the brass or SS will work. Higher pressures will require a solenoid that will handle what ever pressure you are running.

I have in the past built equipment or set up washes with a Procon pump running 225 PSI and used the 3/32" orifice Kips, but I've seen washes using a booster pump running 150 PSI and large solenoids and 3/8" hose instead of tubing and the pressure at the tip seems just about as good.

The larger the orifice the better. I swapped from a manifold block solenoid to a GC and the flow in the bay increased dramatically.

I would not have thought that to be so since the tip in the bay is much smaller than the orifice, but you're definitely right.
