Recently put in sonnys new rotating brush tire shiner, removed simonize machine. After 3 months of operation I have to say it is 1000 times better and more consistent then the old machine.Iam using a product from ardex called new concept and my cost is around .35 cents per application. After 2 frustating years with the simonize machine I am now truly happy.

I've had my Sonny tire shiner for 6 years now and use Blue Coral in it and I am very satisfied with the coverage and my cost per application is 12.5 cents. The key to this low cost is that we put it on every car so the pads stay moist and we get the pads free from Blue Coral for using their product.

chiefs, on raised white letter tires how much crap is left on the raised sections, and on low profile tires how much crap is scooped into the angled section of the tire.I have found very litlle if any of this with the rotating brush. The problem with the pads in my opinion is the product settles to the bottom of the pad

The Simonize Tire shine machine uses too much product and has horrible coverage on large tires. I would like to see the Mcneil machine and the sonny's machine in operation. Simonize should go back to the chalk board and work on the old system that was novel at first but is now outdated.

Excess on raised white letters is not a problem as our pads are always moist yet never inundated with the product and we do not need to use a lot of product per application. Hence our low cost of 12.5 cents per car.

I saw the tire shiner at the ICA show in Florida it was fairly new for Sonnys so it isint in their catalog yet.It is basically the same as the Hanna machine the cost was 5995.00 which didnt include the pumping station which I already had from the simonize machine.
If anyone is experiencing the same problems I had with the simonize machine this is a great alternative and an inexpensive fix.If you would like to see it in operation stop by anytime i'm in Pa. or feel free to call, I can answer any questions you may have.610 582 8122

Are you still very happy with your Motor City tire shiners? I am just looking at putting them into a new wash along with some additional Motor City equipment.
