Hello,

I am having an issue with a specialty revolution and the entrance door. When a person purchases a wash the door opens but will not close unless the door buttons are pressed to close them on the bay wall. The control station screen does not seem to recognize anything the door is doing. I had assumed that the door opener was on a timer internally but must not be the case. Thanks for any thoughts.

You're more likely to get help if you title your thread with something more descriptive of its contents.

Sounds like an "eye" issue on the inside of the bay or a stuck push button for manual operation

What is the screen saying? If you have Specialty's door package, the problem is likely that the software thinks the door is always closed because the magnetic switch is stuck. If it thinks the door is closed, it wont try to close it.

Thanks guys.
I don't believe it's an eye or button issue. When you manually close the door with the push buttons and block the eyes the door will stop closing and open. The screen inside does not seem to seem to detect what the door is doing

Just connect the wires if its a 2 wire magnetic switch. Then disconnect. The software should think the door is opening and shutting.

The door must have a thermostat somewhere that will tell it when to work based on temps. I would check that first. Try changing the temp setting first with the door open and see if you can get the door to activate. Your thermostat could also be bad.

Never saw that system before but almost all door systems has the same principle.

1. If your doors are close and somebody punch a wash code and the entrance door opens, that means your CW system door controller is sending the signal to the entrance door. Now, if it doesn't close by itself but it does manually pressing the close button at the door controller it may be that one of the safety sensors is bad, not aligned, or covered with water/moisture (cleaned!).

2. If that problem happens with the exit door too (when the wash is done it opens the door but it doesn't close it) it may be that your thermostat is set too high (the thermostat for the door, not for the heater)

Let us know what was the problem so We learn something else here.

Good luck!

on my touchfree, there are Chiclet relays for functions like 'door close'. it's a simple thing to check if you can find such a relay in your wiring schematic. I've had these Chiclet relays stick one way or another and cause problems.

usually, both doors will be on the same temp sensor, so if that were bad you'd likely see a screwup on both doors.

All my doors have a different thermostats for front and rear doors. Ice cube relay is a good thing to check like waxman said.

Sorry for delays in responding to all the thoughts. Was having computer issues so could't access the site. Was so cold in the Midwest I shut the wash down. I am replacing the door sensors as that appears to be the issue.i have set the opener to close internally after 45 seconds so I can use the wash in the interim. Thanks to all who responded.
