Spray tip question

I believe it is to help stabilize the water flow prior to exiting the nozzle to achieve a better "V" pattern.

I didn't know that they could be taken out. I do notice that those particular nozzles seem to plug up more often when a customer tries to pry mud with the wand than the nozzles that come without the internal vane.

Without the vane I notice the spray pattern has a U shape rather than a flat pattern.

While we are on the subject of spray tips, what size is everybody using currently I am using 1508 customers seem to know the difference with a wider spray pattern not so much pressure but great coverage.

Inserts=veins. I was told the veins inside those tip makes the water stream wider (ie..fan shape) and air bubbles. Leave them in. Where do we get those veins? KR sells some with both. I bent one with needle nose plier trying to clean out a clogged tip on IBA.

My stock tip for SS wands are 1/8 MEG 2507.

I use 1/8" 2506 tips for my self serve wands....

Do all water conditions dictate that nozzles be changed. I never change mine. (Except when I replace a Gun.)

I run 2505 and 2506 vjet tips at 1200psi. Customers seem happy with them.

Earle, the nozzle orifice enlarges over time and the nozzle should be replaced about every 9 -12 months or so. It all depends on how much use they get. Try a 1505 nozzle you might be surprised at how much kick they have.

1500 psi ? they like strong coffee eh? mine is at 1100 psi and no complaint yet. I do see car paint peels on walls and on the ground sometimes.
