My SS Bays have two 4 foot HO Flourescent fixtures on each side wall about 8 foot up with each about 4 feet in from the end so they are separated by about 8 feet. They do a nice job but it's a chore to keep all bulbs and Ballasts working. recently decided to replace as ballasts go out and started replacing with these. https://www.1000bulbs.com/product/217488/PLT-90095.html They seem to be doing a nice job. Just in case anyone was interested.

Earl my HO Fluorescent fixtures were in good condition so I removed the ballast and installed and installed 110 volt LED bulbs, I haven't had a failure yet in over 5 years. I bought my bulbs from https://www.eledlights.com/ it took about 3 hours to do the whole car wash.

I will have to experiment and see how hard it is to swap out the tombstones on the fixtures that are still in good shape. With 32 fixtures I think it may take me a little longer than3 hours.

I had to replace most of my tombstones when I switched over to LED lights. It wasn't hard at all. I left the ballast in the fixture and bypassed around it.

Depends on type - some slip into slots and are easily wired. Others are secured with nuts and bolts.

@JMMUSTANG are you mounting those in the center of the bay across the entire length or side by side?

So, gurus / Randy. Here are photos of the existing Fluorescent sockets for the HO bulbs vs what I seem to need for the LED tubes. While they both fit the same grooves width wise, the HO are over an inch long and the others are under an inch which would leave a gap where they would not fit snugly . Is there a replacement for the longer ones? .

I know there's a conversion kit from 2-bulb, single-pin 8-foot to 4-bulb, double-pin 4-foot bulbs. It comes with new metal ends that replace the pieces that retain the tombstones and adds the four in the center.

Earl that's a hard call. Your either going to have to replace the fixture inside the light housing or try to find the end pieces and tombstones. I think I'd call a electrical supply house or eled lights. The fixture from 1000 bulbs is a good price it's just a matter of how much work you want to do.

For now I will use the 1000 Bub fixtures as ballasts fail and will experiment with some 4' fixtures that had the right sockets. While the fixtures look good I am wary of going all in - replacing 32 fixtures, when many work and perhaps be disappointed in longevity of the fixture.

I think I'd go all LED and replace all the fixtures with the same model LED fixture. Are the fixtures from Amazon the same wattage, lumen and kelvin rating? Or you could go with a LED wall packs.

The Amazon Comparison was for theLED tubes compared by Color, Lumens and Wattage -- I did not check on the fixtures.

I experimented with some of the round LED lights overhead in the bays. They interfere with my surveillance cameras much more than wall packs.

Well Gurus - here is the solution. The metal part that holds the sockets is designed to be reversed to hold the shorter ones. Now I just have to compare the LED Bulbs in the fixture vs the LED fixture. What wattage Tubes have you chosen?
